At 0100 Engine 34 was alerted to transfer to Station 114 (Lloydsville), while they worked a structure fire on Route 30 in their district. The Engine, with a crew of 5, provided coverage for a large area while local crews operated at the fire.

This afternoon Rescue 34 ran this 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of Routes 22 & 981. The Rescue arrived and secured both vehicles, controlled the fluids and assisted with traffic. Crews out 40 mins.

This afternoon at 15:52, the alarm went out for the house fire in the City of Latrobe. 1st arriving city units reported a working fire that originated in the kitchen. While enroute, the outside companies were held, with the exception of 114.

Saturday, April 16, 2011...Today as high winds swept across the area, Crabtree & surrounding departments ran multiple calls throughout the morning & afternoon. It started with Engine & Rescue 34 running into the City of Latrobe for an electrical fire on Main St.

Crabtree crews ran 4 calls today, ending with this Vehicle Accident with Entrapment on Route 119, 1 mile south of Crabtree in Hempfield Twp (75 DIstrict). Rescue 34 arrived to find 2 vehicles head on, with 1 on its side & 1 overturned, occupants trapped in both vehicles.

At 0226 Rescue 34 was alerted for the Vehicle Accident with Entrapment on Salem Dr off Route 22 (59 District). 1st arriving units found 1 vehicle that struck parked vehicles and a wall, went threw a yard, and did a roll over, ejecting a passenger who was pinned under the vehicle.

This evening a full alarm assignment went out for a Vehicle Fire endangering the pumps at the New Alexandria Sheetz (77 District). Captain 34 (Smith) arrived to find the fire knocked down with an extinguisher.

This evening at 20:13 the alarm went out for the Vehicle Accident w/Entrapment on Donahue Rd at Sullenberger Rd, Unity Twp (114 District). Crabtree crews emptied the station bringing the Rescue, Engine & Utility to the scene with a combined crew of 13.

Rescue 34 and crew spent the morning on Route 819 assisting with multiple Vehicle Accidents. The first was in the Hempfield Twp section, South of Forbes Road where there were multiple vehicles involved in accidents.

This evening at 17:35, Engine 34 responded to this snowmobile that caught fire in a field off of Bowman Rd, Salem Twp (90 District). The fire was knocked down by an extinguisher prior to our arrival.

The recent weather conditions have kept our dedicated members busy running a variety of calls throughout the week. Crews have run chimney fires, accidents, floodings due to broken water pipes, medical assists and traffic control assists due to stuck vehicles on the ice & snow covered roads.

This afternoon the alarm went out for the Vehicle Accident with Injuries on Route 119 @ Lion's Club Rd (90 District). Rescue 34 arrived and assisted with patient care and traffic control. Crews out 45 mins.
