Monday, May 31, 2010...Here's a good example of some of the odd, crazy things we get into around here. Monday morning Engine & Rescue 34 was sent to assist with a tractor accident on Cemetery Rd, with the tractor possibly into a building.

Sunday, May 30, 2010...This afternoon Engine 34 responded to Cemetery Road in the area of Calvary Hill Rd, Unity twp for a Brush Fire. The Engine with a crew of 5 arrived to find a hay bale, plus a 100' x 100' area of the field ablaze.

Crabtree Volunteers were first awaken at 01:24 for a lightning strike at a residence in Unity Twp, and remained out until 03:00 handling incidents. Engine & Rescue 34 answered storm related incidents including an additional lightning strike, an electrical fire and a fire alarm.

Friday, April 30, 2010...At 23:34 the alarm went out for the Vehicle Accident on Route 119 South of Crabtree, Hempfield Twp (75 District). Rescue & Engine 34 went enroute with a combined crew of 7.

Friday, April 16, 2010...Crabtree crews were kept busy this past weekend following the severe storm that moved through Westmoreland County. The storm brought high winds, rain, sleet & hail, which caused widespread damage & power outages to the area.

The alarm went out at 10:28 for the residental basement fire in the Mannitto Plan, Loyalhanna Twp (77 District). The fire was quickly knocked down by Engine 77. Engine 34 arrived 2nd with a crew of 4, and assisted with overhaul of the fire area & ventilation of the upper floors.
