At 2238 Engine 34 was dispatched for the Unknown Type Fire on Allied Lane, Derry Twp, in the 71 District (Bradenville). Thick black smoke could be seen for miles by the responding companies. Chief & Engine 77 (New Alexandria) arrived 1st to find approx.
The tones rang out at 2220 for Smoke Coming from a Structure at the intersection of Jefferson and Chestnut Sts in the 113 District (Latrobe). This is a group of older buildings connected together, that were home to several businesses & industry over the years.

Saturday, May 10, 2008…Crews were kept busy Friday evening and all day Saturday running various calls. In 24 hours, Station 34 ran 2 Vehicle Accidents, taking care of a total of 6 patients between the 2, and 4 flooded basement calls due to the heavy rains that moved through the area.

On Tuesday May 6 Crabtree and New Alex Fire Departments participated in a water movement and hose lay drill. The drill consisted of each department practicing laying into a fire scene and "dressing" or connecting the hoses to the fire hydrants.

The alarm went out at 0210 for the Porch Fire on Archway Dr. in the Frogtown section of Salem Twp, off Rt. 119 (90 District). Right after the initial dispatch, 911 started to receive calls that the fire was extending into the house.

Tuesday, April 22, 2008...At 2314 the 1st alarm assignment was hit for the Basement Fire in a residence on Twin Lakes Road (34 District). 1st arriving Officers from 93(Luxor) & 114(Lloydsville) reported an electrical fire on a freezer unit with possible extension in the wall and corrected...
0704 - New Alexandria Sr Citizens Center on Main St., New Alexandria (77 District) for the Natural Gas Leak in the building, sending Engine 34 with a crew of 5. Rescue Capt. 34 (Smith) arrived 1st, taking the command and finding the building evacuated with a noticeable odor.
A dry windy spring day told the tale as the boys from 34 were dispatched to their 2nd brush fire of the day. At 1614 Engine 34 was dispatched to 307 Slightown Rd., Salem Twp St (90 district) for a field fire 20 ft from a residence.

At 1150 the 1st alarm went out for a large brush fire off of Lee Vally rd, near Rt 981 Derry Twp. Engine 34 was enroute with 5 to scene. Engine 34 was request by Ch 71 (Bradenville) to attack from above the main body of the brush fire.

Friday, April 18, 2008...While still on the scene of the previous fire, the alarm went out for a Kitchen Fire on Ott Rd, Salem Twp in the 59 (Slickville) District. At the request of Chief 77, Engine 34 was sent in place of Tanker 77, although they did crew and went enroute also.
