At 08:45 Engine & Rescue 34, along with our mutual aid companies, responded to a first due residence that experienced a power surge with a haze of smoke in the basement division of the home.  The crew located the source at the hot water tank, secured the power, checked for extension and ventilated.  Units out 30 mins.
